The second day!

Wow what a day. A day of two halfs if I am honest, some parts were manicly buisy and the other parts involved a lot of sitting down and not doing much.

At the beginning of the day I had to go on a marathon of car journeys where I would go from winchester to eastleigh, eastleigh to southampton, southampton to the new forest and then back off to eastleigh again.

After a bit of waiting around then, I helped on an outside scene which was shortly followed by me and frankie having to clean up a hell of a lot of cat food lol!

Now I am just sitting in the front room of a random house and updating ny blog lol.

Sorry for not writing much about yesterday but I was nick nakered and needed sleeps lol!

Talk to ya all soon 🙂

I look into my Future and I see……. Writing for TV!

So I start “Writing for TV” tommorow and well I feel like a Brave explorer about to anxiously go where no man has gone before. If I am honest, writing for tv doesn’t immediately grab me and excite me like Studio Production does but I know that it would be a very good skill to have on my imaginary skill belt. I mean the scope for writing my own short films and television shows is endless if I can master this subject (and of course I can deduce that the only reason that I am not doing this so far is because I have not done this part of the course.)

So Wish me luck my dear compatriots and we will see if I am spouting out scripts and screen plays in the near future!

This is exactly what I am doing! Well, if you replace Christopher Columbus with me and replace the place he is discovering with Writing for TV.... That's similar right...?

Music Video Challenge accepted – Julian Tulk band… your up!

So we were in the studio yesterday and I was having a discussion with a good friend of mine about how you would go about doing a good music video. We both had some different ideas and I thought so that we could lay our cards on the table, I would put up the music video that I helped on a while ago.

The band is called “The Julian Tulk Band” and the song is called “Deceleration”. They are surely up and coming and have been touring up and down the UK for a while now!

I bet you didn’t think Framing could be this Exciting!

So if you reading this blog then you might of seen the selection of photo’s that I had uploaded yesterday of the city Southampton! Now you may think that those beautiful pictures just flow out of me but nooo… I had to think a lot about Framing! Exciting I know. For example if I wanted to capture the intricate detail of a butterfly’s winds on camera then I would use….. An Extreme Close Up! And for example I would not use a medium shot.

Yes!

See the difference?

Noooooo!

There we are, here is another problem that you may face while trying to frame your shots. Here I have two friends of mine in cartoon form and I was wondering how I would go about framing them… This is what I would and wouldn’t do.

Yes a brilliant “2 shot”!

So why on earth would I shoot it using a close up. I mean apart from the obvious silliness of it, the other friend would feel left out! 😦

So as you can see, if you think about the framing of the shots that you use in your pictures/films, then you can give across the right message! Of course the story you are trying to tell differs from person to person, but with some shots allowing you to capture a close up of the female actor when she starts to cry after just having her heart broken; and a wide shot allowing you to show the magnitude and drama of a bloody battlefield you can see that the right shot can make all of the difference!
